More Birthday Blessings

Happy Saturday! Do you like the new Blog look? I decided I wanted a more festive look, in honour of my favorite holiday. :)

I had some great news the other day. My Mario card (found here) was honoured as a Super Sundae at Birthday Sundaes! I was so excited, but not as excited as my Luke, who was the card's recipient. :)

And speaking of Birthdays, my Abigail will celebrate her 9th Birhday on Thursday. NINE! When did that happen? It seems like only yesterday I brought her home from the hospital. I remember looking at this beautiful little miracle, and wondering what in the world I was supposed to do with her. It was one of the happiest, scariest, most wonderful moments of my life - becoming a mommy for the first time. There really is nothing better. :)

So, in honour of my Abigail's big day, I created a card that celebrates some of the wonderful things I love about her.

Abi loves animals (she has plans to become a vet one day), especially dogs. She is fascinated by all the different jobs dogs can do, and when we're out for a walk, she has to stop and say hello to EVERY dog we pass. :) Abigail is also my little gardener. Every spring we head to the greenhouse and she selects a variety of flowers to plan in her little plot in the backyard. It's always very colourful, because Abi loves bright colours. She really is my little ray of sunshine, and she can always make me smile. :)

This is so cute. I love the card and I love your new blog design. I'm gonna try to change mine tomorrow to one that I saw on the site. So say a prayer for me, I'm completely computer illiterate.

  10. Well look at you, Ms. Fancy Pants! :o) Not only do you get much-deserved recognition, but your Copic skills are just gorgeous! But before that, I must say that I am in love with the inspiration and love that went into this card. You put so much of your sweet little girl into this and it tugs at my sappy heartstrings. She is dearly loved (by me, too!) and this card is such a blessing. The papers are gorgeous, the flowers are beautifully sweet, and that image is perfect.

Do you see how amazing your coloring has become so quickly? I hope you realize it. :o) The image looks fabulous and I LOVE the shape of it. :o) And I love the bright green ribbon. My gosh... this is a fantastic easel card, my friend. (Psychic link warning: You will giggle when you see the digi in my next post. Ha! I love us.)

    Hugs and blessings! :o)
