Just Because Birthday

Happy Saturday!

Today I have a card to share with you that I'm pretty excited about. Why am I so excited about it? Because I made it for absolutely NO REASON! That's right, for the first time, in a loooong time, I made a card just for fun! Not that I don't enjoy making projects for actual events, or for DTs, but there is something super satisfying about making something just for the heck of it. :)

Taa daa! Isn't she so cute? :)

Recipe:
Smiling Flower: My *brand new* Paper Smooches Perky Plants, paper pieced using scraps
Sentiment: My *brand new* Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler
Grass: DCWV textured card stock, Martha Stewart punch
Twine: The Twinery 'Blossom'
Green paper: DCWV textured cardstock
White paper and Kraft Paper: Recollections
Other: White and black gel pens for touch-ups and accents

I'm entering this into the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge, the CAS-ual Fridays Sketch challenge, the Birthday Sundaes Anything Goes challenge, and the My Sheri Cafts Use Something New challenge. :)

In other news, Cooking With Cricut is having a Design Team call! If you're interested in joining this fabulous and super-talented group of designers, you can find all the needed info here

Thanks so much for looking and have a wonderful weekend! :)

  1. Cute smile on that flower. Gotta love just because cards! They seem to be the best since there is no reason to make them.

  8. Nita, I totally agree! There is something about making a card, because YOU want to and don't feel like you have to or need to follow any certain guidelines! Super cute! Hope you're having a super weekend! SMiles, JIll
