Blog Candy Winner

Hi all! And Happy Valentine's Day! I have seriously been trying to get this post up ALL AFTERNOON, but the Valetines activities I had planned for the kiddos took on a life of their own, and I just never made it back to click "publish". Sorry about that!

A couple of things today. FIRST, let's find out who won the $20 gift certificate from My Craft Spot.

Using random.org the winning number is....

#15 is Karen!!! Congratulations Karen! I'll be contacting you! :) :) :)Second on the agenda today is the card I made for my very own Valentine, my sweet husband. Normally we don't "do" Valentine's Day (he firmly believes that he doesn't need a "DAY" to show me he loves me - he does it every day of the year. *sigh* I am so blessed), but I really like to make him a card now and then, and V-Day was a good excuse. :)

Recipe:
Digi stamp: Bugaboo Stamps, coloured with Copics and paper-pieced
Paper: Recollections (brown & blue), DCWV Baby Girl Stack (orange pattern)
"I Love You": Paper Smooches Alphadot
Twine: Scraps from my twine box mess (probably I should clean that up)

Challenges Entered:
CAS-ual Fridays (use paper piecing)
Chocolate, Coffee, & Cards Challenges (use brown, orange, & teal)

My husband loved the card. He said the sweet little lady on the front reminds him of me when we first met. Tee hee! :)

Thank so much for stopping by today! Don't forget there is a brand new challenge at Cooking With Cricut tomorrow, and it's one that will definately get your creative juices flowing. :)

  1. You did an awesome job. You are really rockin those copics girl! The card is so adorable and isn't it great to have a husband that loves you like that. I have one just like that and he's sound asleep getting rested after a long day at work. He made my valentines day fantastic.

  3. My sweet friend, your card is absolutely adorable! I love that you matched her shirt with one of the mats.. so brilliant. Your coloring is so pretty and I LOVE that it reminded him of you! Teehee! (And know what else I love? That our sweeties are as similar as you and I! Amazing!) I adore the oodles of twine, tied up in a bundle of love. The color scheme is fab for a love card since it's not the typical. :o) This card is just so happy. Beautiful work as always, Nita. :)
